Everyone knows it’s hard to be in an LDR. But you have no idea how hard it is to have your Best Friend so far away. Your all-time-favourite person in the whole world so happens to be a world away. No shoulder to cry on, only a voice on the other line saying ‘I’m always here for you’ but knowing she’s not here-here. No sleepovers, no dress ups, no giggling in the corner of a coffee shop laughing over something ridiculously silly. No stalking some cute guy in the mall. No watching chick flicks or sappy movies that leave you in tears all night. No eating all day long then claiming the other is fatter than you. You got nothing but late night gossip over the phone, random text messages saying ‘hi fat face, wish you were here to help me finish my oh-so-creamy, delicious, mouth-watering red velvet cheesecake. Ps. you better help me work off these calories after this bite… or else.’
Then after months, or even years of not seeing each other, it’s as if no distance was there in the first place and it’s right where you left off. Because only those who share a friendship like this knows.. If you want to be part of someone’s life, you’ll be there – no matter the distance.
